At NSG, we’re committed to protecting our computerised data and written, printed documentation; as such the terms: 'we', 'us' or 'our' refers to NSG. If you do not already have an agreement with us about who owns business documents, data and data analysis; this guidance can help.

Whether we own a document, the data and/or data analysis depends on our role; a) when it was created and b) whether our costs were paid in full, in our capacity:

ecommerce business specialism (online sales)

professional advisement (due diligence, legal etc)

client's agent or representative (i.e procurement)

If we were acting in this capacity, ownership of any supporting documents belong to a client.

If we were acting in this capacity, ownership of any supporting documents belong to a client.

If we were acting in this capacity, ownership of any designed documents (including proformas, spreadsheets etc), any data analysis and other information including third party documentation belong to us or a third party. Any information concerning contractual information, tariffs, costs etc become a client's property; once full payment and/or our handling fee have been paid in full and funds have cleared.

Type of Documents:

Usually the client owns documents:

they sent to your firm, except where ownership was intended to pass to us;

sent or received by us when we act as the agent or representative of the client;

produced when we act as a professional adviser to the client, and one of the purposes of that relationship was to create a document. Examples are agreements or written representations;

prepared by someone else, including the client's other advisers, during our business relationship, and paid for by you, our client. For example, opinions of counsel, specialist paperwork and experts' reports
